Stranded deep foundation has no floor.
Had the same issue when building multi level structure near rocks on an island.
I have the hammer equipped in my inventory and the corrugated floor just highlights red and won t allow me to build onto the foundation.
A floor can be a floor for a multi story building or a flat roof.
Players will just need to select the floor component from the crafting menu before finding the materials necessary to craft it.
Also notice the build menu has a scroll wheel to getting to the bottom items.
Have 3 foundations in a row a floor panel above the last one but it wont let me place the stairs between them i did try placing the stairs before putting the floor panel in.

If a foundation has been built in a spot ever it seems to permanently screw that spot.
A floor can then be added to the base from which propulsion and other attachments can be added.

Rafts are created from three components a base a floor and propulsion.
This will allow your home to be more enclosed effectively protecting you from the elements.
Building a foundation requires either wood sticks plank scrap clay bricks or corrugated scrap once a foundation is set the player will then be able to attach any sort of extension or addition.

Portions of the raft can be removed by striking the portion with a crude axe or a refined.

You must have supports on either side and a foundation underneath to place them on your shelter.
I created a corrugated square foundation x2 and i have enough corrugation scraps to create 2 floors.
And touching the foundation.

Rafts are a crucial part of stranded deep.
Nor will it allow me to craft it off the foundation.
