Chamberlain garage door simple sensor diagnose and fix.
Troubleshooting my chamberlain garage door opener sensor no light.
Look for small led lights on the sensors.
The clicking noise you are looking for is the sound that comes from the relay on the circuit board.
Manually lift the garage door and release it when it is opened halfway when the door is appropriately balanced it will neither move up or down but stay in place supported by the springs.
Disconnect your chamberlain garage door opener from the garage door by pulling the emergency release handle down and back towards the garage door.
If you do not hear a click replace the logic board.
A common cause of a malfunctioning garage door sensor is lack of power supply.
If you hear a click replace the light socket.
This does not apply to garage door openers that use a work light that is separate from the garage door opener.
If you do not hear a click coming from the motor housing then the relay on the circuit board is bad.
If they re turned on in both the sensors then there is no issue with the power supply.
Hopefully one of these options worked for you.
